DKW SB 500 de luxe

1935 Model, DKW SB 500 de luxe

500 cc, 15 hp, 165 kg, 110 kph.

One of the most important technical advances of 2-stroke engines, schnürle loop scavenging, was introduced in the DKW SB series in 1932/33. This offered better cooling, higher economy and efficiency and the possibility of using lighter pistons. The SB de luxe came with dynastart, a full instrument panel and twin headlamps.

DKW RT 100

1935 Model, DKW RT 100

100 cc, 3 hp, 45 kg, 60 kph.

The production record in the 30's was held by the RT with over 70,000 produced. This machine held the lead among the 100cc machines with loop scavenging, 3-speed transmission, flywheel magneto ignition. Powerful enough to eliminate the need for auxiliary pedals.

DKW ULD 500 Racing Motorcycle

1937 Model, DKW ULD 500 Racing Motorcycle

500 cc, 40 hp, 150 kg, 180 kph.

The ULD 500 had a water cooled 2 cylinder, double piston engine (four pistons) charged by gear-driven pumps. Rear swinging arm suspension and aluminium full hub brakes.
